Take the Long Island Railroad from Penn Station to the final stop at the Greenport, NY North Ferry Station. From here Shelter Island is just a short 8 minute ferry ride.

To Shelter Island by Bus – With travel options offered 365 days per year you cannot beat the convenience. The Hampton Jitney operates a fleet of luxury motor coaches and limousines to allow travel in style and comfort to the North and South Forks of Long Island from Metro New York, including the airports! So why not sit back with a good book or pop in the ear buds and leave the driving to someone else.
